Hi Dave
I had a big day out today, taking a grand Tour of the Upper Derwent valley, Loads of snow up there.
Went from Langsett to Mickledon Pond-Skarrett Stone-1894 stone inc LTP- Swains Head-Barrow Stones where we took in 3 more LTP just visible through the Snow-Source of Derwent Sign,- down to Shooting Hut-(were you there last week as there was a Dave who was a park ranger who had signed in.) Up to Horse Stones-Crow Stones-Icelandic Aircraft wreck down to Lord Howards spring along the res to Howden Clough-direct to High stones then followed Watershed to MH and OE taking in another wreck and LTP on route.
Went to find BB last week but no leaves on it yet so hard ti identify.
Still have one LTP to find above Sykes Moor. couldn't find it last week in a pea souper with driving rain but ticked the wreck.
Keep it going.

Hiya mate,
Noted Ian has 8 Ledum sites under his belt. Wonder where he got those from. But we know of two more. Don't we!

Hi Dave,
Excellent site, I thought there were only me and Ian (previous post-Nov 4) that were into this sort of stuff--this gives us loads more to go out and find-good also to see the research you've done -interesting about the targets- I never realised they were moving - wondered what the grooves were all about--got it bookmarked-- will be checking regularly and let you know if I find anything new--RussB-DPFR

Hi Dave
Like others found this site through HPB.
Found the Bog billberry NW of Swains head. Is there another at Dean Head or is that the same one.
I've been doing the Tea plants recently and know of 8 sites and approx 14 (5 in one 10 m area)plants. The one at Near black clough is all but gone due to a recent heather burn. I live close to Langsett and knew some of what your site describes but not in the same detail. Well done
Ian

Dave,
I've just seen your picture of Loftshaw Well Grid Ref.SK1584499846
It made me realise that I've never actually been there.
Must do it next time I'm over!!!!!
Cheers for now...

Hello Dave,
Had a good snoop around the site and found it very interesting. Especially enjoyed Ledum groenlandicum and Vaccinium uliginosum.
Thanks for the plug!
